Astghik Karapetyan
Co-Founder and President
Astghik Karapetyan is a journalist and media expert with over 20 years of experience in the field. Since 2011, her professional work has focused on human rights, producing analytical and investigative materials on sensitive topics.
In 2017, she became the editor-in-chief of the independent professional website Iravaban.net. She developed the media outlet’s ethical guidelines and rules for implementing the right to be forgotten.
From 2019 to 2020, she collaborated as a media researcher with the American New Media Advocacy Project.
Since 2020, she has been the co-founder and director of “Point 33,” an information and human rights advocacy NGO.
Astghik graduated from Yerevan State University, earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in journalism. In 2019, she received a Mini-MBA certificate in Media Management from the Stockholm School of Business in Riga. In 2023, she obtained a second master’s degree in Multimedia and Media Management from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).
In recent years, Astghik has been involved as a media expert and trainer in various local and international programs.
